Card Issuing Portfolio Manager

About the role

The Card Issuing Portfolio Manager is responsible for planning, developing and implementing card issuing products and technology solutions across the card value chain. The role drives card product innovation and modernization initiatives while collaborating with Technology, Operations, Fraud, Collections, Customer Experience, Marketing and other key stakeholders. The incumbent ensures successful project delivery, optimises product performance and provides strategic insights to support business objectives and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement card issuing products and technology solutions.
• Drive card product innovation and modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Fraud, Collections, Customer Experience, Marketing and other stakeholders.
• Ensure successful project delivery and optimise product performance.
• Provide strategic insights to support business objectives and growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Business, Finance, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in financial services with a strong focus on card issuing and card products.
• Demonstrated experience in card product development, product management and leading card modernisation or digital transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of card operations, technology platforms, fraud management and customer servicing environments.
• Proven ability to engage and influence cross‑functional stakeholders including Technology, Operations, Marketing, Fraud, Collections and executive leadership.
• Behavioural competencies such as practical approach, influencing, strategy development, rapport building and composure.
• Technical competencies including card issuing and product management, product development and innovation, IT business analysis, requirements management, solution design, project and programme management, quality assurance and control.
