Cat A Licensed Mechanic – UK Wide

About the role

Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd, the UK engineering delivery partner for Ryanair, is seeking Cat A licensed mechanics to join its line‑maintenance teams across the United Kingdom. The role operates on a 4‑day‑on/4‑day‑off roster, supporting Ryanair’s 737‑800 and the new 737‑8200 “Gamechanger” fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, inspections and defect rectification on Ryanair 737‑800 and 737‑8200 aircraft.
• Execute Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery tasks to minimise downtime.
• Maintain a safe, compliant working environment in line with company procedures and aviation regulations.
• Mentor junior aircraft mechanics and apprentices, sharing best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of aircraft line or base maintenance experience.
• Valid EASA or UK CAA Part‑66 Cat A licence (or equivalent UK CAA licence).
• Completion of EASA Module 9 (Human Factors) and Module 10 (Aviation Legislation).
• Unrestricted right to work and travel in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• EASA/UK CAA Part‑66 Cat A licence.
• Hands‑on experience with aircraft line or base maintenance.
• Familiarity with the AMOS maintenance management system (desirable).
