Certificated Enforcement Agent

About the role

The Enforcement Agent will enforce debts on behalf of local authority and private clients, primarily dealing with local taxation and parking cases across the UK. This field‑based position involves visiting debtor premises, executing court orders and securing payments.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to addresses within your area to execute court orders and obtain payments.
• Assess debtor financial circumstances, complete questionnaires and arrange payment in full or affordable repayment plans.
• Make discreet enquiries with neighbours to locate debtors who have moved.
• Identify vulnerable individuals, signpost to support services and notify creditors where required.
• Liaise with office colleagues, oversee cash payments, manage receipts and documentation.
• Compile visit reports and complete necessary paperwork.
• Take control of goods and, where authorised, remove goods in accordance with Level 2 Taking Control of Goods standards.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with Data Protection, Freedom of Information and health & safety legislation.

Required profile

• Level 2 Taking Control of Goods qualification.
• Full UK driver’s licence with at least two years’ experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and handle cash securely.

What we offer

• Basic salary of £28,500 with OTE up to £100,000 per annum.
