Chief Financial Officer – Remote

About the role

Splash is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to shape and execute its global financial strategy. This full‑time remote role will partner closely with the CEO, Board Treasurer, Finance Committee, Development team and country leaders to ensure financial stability and sustainability across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead Splash’s long‑term financial and blended‑finance strategy, aligning with growth, impact and government partnership goals.
• Design and maintain sophisticated capital models that differentiate philanthropic funding, catalytic capital, government co‑financing and donor‑funded infrastructure.
• Provide scenario planning, multi‑year financial modeling and risk analysis for foreign‑exchange exposure, delayed disbursements and funding gaps.
• Oversee global budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and financial reporting for US and international operations.
• Strengthen financial dashboards to track burn rates, restricted budgets and implementation progress in real time.
• Advise the CEO and Board on trade‑offs related to scale, risk, unrestricted reserves, cost recovery and country‑level financial exposure.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting and finance expertise with excellent judgment.
• Proven experience operating in international, multi‑country environments.
• Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear guidance for non‑finance audiences.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on donor confidence, government partnership and long‑term sustainability.
