Chief Operating Officer – Kenya

About the role

FinAgra is seeking a Chief Operating Officer for its Kenya operations. The COO will translate the company’s strategy into disciplined, on‑the‑ground execution, leading the scaling of farms and Rural Entrepreneurial Partners (REPs) across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Convert company and seasonal priorities into actionable plans for agronomy, agricultural operations, and the REP program.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and cross‑functional dependencies.
• Build scalable processes and SOPs that maintain execution quality as the network expands.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Finance, Commercial, Product, Technology and other functions.
• Establish management routines, KPIs, reporting and escalation mechanisms.
• Set high standards for safety, ethics, transparency and accountability.
• Develop local managers and foster a culture of ownership and professional management.

Required profile

• 7+ years of operational leadership experience, preferably as COO, General Manager, Head of Operations or similar.
• Proven ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams in an agricultural or agri‑tech environment.
• Strong track record of building systems, standards and cultures that enable rapid scaling.
• Willingness to relocate to Kenya and work on‑site full‑time.
