Chinese-Speaking Automotive Sales Consultant

About the role

Our client, a leading automotive company in Kenya, is looking for a Chinese‑speaking Sales Consultant to drive business growth and strengthen relationships with Chinese‑speaking clients and networks. The role involves identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships and supporting the full sales cycle from lead generation to closure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with Chinese‑speaking clients, investors, contractors, business owners and corporate customers.
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, market research and direct engagement.
• Promote the company’s products and services, clearly communicating their commercial value.
• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, client meetings, quotations, proposals, negotiations, follow‑ups and closing.
• Maintain regular communication with customers to understand needs, resolve concerns and uncover repeat business.
• Coordinate between Chinese‑speaking customers and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline updates, forecasts and activity reports.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and emerging opportunities within Chinese business networks.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, International Business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, key account management or customer relationship management.
• Strong proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, able to communicate confidently in both business and client‑facing environments.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong business relationships and develop new customer accounts.
• Self‑driven, target‑oriented and capable of independently managing a sales pipeline and achieving targets.
