Clinical Coordinator (Front desk)

About the role

The Clinical Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients at a Penda Health Medical Centre. You will ensure a warm, efficient, and professional experience while supporting smooth patient flow, registration, billing and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients, handle inquiries, complaints and calls, and escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with clinical and support teams to ensure smooth patient visits and manage wait times.
• Register patients, obtain consent, verify medical benefits and process billing (cash, insurance, corporate partners).
• Maintain accurate patient records, insurance submissions and front‑desk reporting.
• Manage appointments, petty cash and relevant administrative tasks.
• Uphold Penda’s culture and collaborate with Clinical Coordinators and Medical Centre teams.

Required profile

• Diploma in Front Office Administration, Customer Service Management, Business Administration, Health Records or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a customer‑facing/front‑desk or reception role.
• Fluent in English and Swahili with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy and good typing skills.
• Ability to use digital systems for registration, billing and reporting.
