Clinical Development Medical Director – Neuromuscular

About the role

The Clinical Development Medical Director will provide clinical leadership and strategic medical input across global clinical development programs focused on neuromuscular and related neuroscience areas. This senior position partners with trial leaders and cross‑functional teams to drive the execution of early‑ and late‑phase studies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead clinical sections for regulatory submissions, briefing documents, and investigator materials.
• Drive execution of global clinical programs in partnership with trial leaders and functional teams.
• Oversee trial data review, interpretation, and reporting, including clinical study reports and publications.
• Support benefit‑risk assessment and safety monitoring with patient safety teams.
• Engage external stakeholders such as regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, and advisory boards.
• Contribute to clinical strategy, standards development, and global initiatives across the development function.

Required profile

• Medical degree with clinical training and specialization in Neuromuscular, Neuroscience, Neurodegeneration, or Movement disorders.
• Several years of experience in clinical research or global drug development across early and late phases.
• Proven experience leading or contributing to global clinical trials, including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial methodology, regulatory requirements, and Good Clinical Practice standards.
• Ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate complex scientific and clinical data.
• Experience working effectively in global, cross‑functional, matrixed environments.
