Clinical Officer

About the role

We are looking for a qualified and compassionate Clinical Officer to join our healthcare team in Kitengela. The role involves delivering high‑quality outpatient and inpatient services, diagnosing and treating common medical conditions, and promoting preventive health practices in line with Ministry of Health standards.

Key responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and chronic illnesses.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and develop treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and document laboratory and diagnostic test results.
• Provide emergency and first‑line medical care when required.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient medical records.
• Refer patients to specialists or higher‑level facilities as needed.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health guidelines and professional standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Valid registration and a current practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC).
• Good clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and patient‑centered care.
