CNC Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a CNC Commissioning Engineer to lead the full prove‑out of CNC machines from initial power‑up through production acceptance. The role combines hands‑on system initialization, software loading, and on‑site troubleshooting to ensure each machine meets performance, safety and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complete CNC machine commissioning, from power‑up to final acceptance.
• Perform software loading, parameter configuration and full system initialization.
• Troubleshoot multi‑axis motion systems, both open and closed loop.
• Execute servo tuning and axis compensation to guarantee machine accuracy and geometry.
• Diagnose and resolve wiring, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
• Interpret electrical and fluid schematics and apply necessary corrections.
• Validate that machines satisfy performance, safety and customer acceptance criteria before handover.
• Provide field service and warranty support to maintain machine performance.
• Train junior engineers and support customer handover processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to own commissioning projects from troubleshooting through resolution with minimal supervision.
• Strong background in programming and ladder‑logic troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of AC/DC electrical circuits.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 75%).
