EV Technician – Service

About the role

SPATCO Energy Solutions is seeking an energetic EV Technician to join its service team. Under the Service Manager, you will assemble, install, test and maintain electrical equipment for electric vehicle fueling and charging stations.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test and maintain EV electrical components such as circuit breakers, contactors, relays, fuses and distribution blocks using hand and power tools.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems with ohm meters, volt meters, amp probes and meggers, ensuring compliance with safety codes and manufacturer specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions and bill of materials to complete product assemblies.
• Manage inventory, label parts, fill kits, and communicate inventory levels to the production manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED or HSED; NFPA and UL 508 knowledge required.
• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment and 5 years as an electrical apprentice.
• Physical ability to stand 8‑10 hours, lift up to 35 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally.

Required skills

• Electrical troubleshooting and testing (ohm meter, volt meter, amp probe, megger).
• Blueprint and tape‑measurement reading.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and UL 508.
• Proficiency with shop tools and basic computer skills.
