Collection Officer Intern – Western Kenya

About the role

This full‑time internship offers practical experience in micro‑finance collections. You will support the company’s repayment targets by contacting borrowers, tracking promises to pay and assisting loan officers.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up customers with outstanding loan repayments through calls, messages and field visits.
• Manage assigned collection pipelines and prioritize accounts based on repayment status and risk.
• Secure realistic Promises to Pay (PTPs) and monitor them until payment is received.
• Identify early signs of default and escalate high‑risk accounts to supervisors.
• Update daily collection records and repayment outcomes accurately in the company’s systems.
• Collaborate with loan officers and other teams to resolve repayment issues.
• Achieve assigned daily and monthly collection targets.

Required profile

• KCSE Certificate.
• Diploma or degree in any relevant field.
• Valid National ID.
• Applicants should be 30 years of age or below.

Required skills

• Computer competency.
