About the role
The Collection Officer will manage overdue customer payments, maintain accurate records, and support the company’s cash flow by ensuring timely repayments.
Key responsibilities
- Follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Maintain accurate collection and repayment records.
- Communicate with clients professionally and respectfully.
- Negotiate suitable repayment arrangements.
- Prepare daily and weekly collection reports.
- Meet assigned collection targets.
- Conduct customer visits when required.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Credit Management, or related field.
- Previous experience in debt collection, credit control, microfinance, or loan recovery (advantageous).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
- Familiarity with Nairobi and surrounding areas.
