Commercial & Sales Trainee – Africa

About the role

Join ADM’s Africa Commercial Trainee Program, a two‑year rotational scheme designed to develop future commercial leaders across the continent. Based in Nairobi, you will rotate through different African markets and business units, gaining hands‑on experience in sales, marketing, logistics and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Support trading, sales, marketing and business development teams in executing commercial strategies.
• Analyse market trends, supply‑demand dynamics and competitive landscapes.
• Assist with pricing, contract management, logistics coordination and risk management activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Work on strategic projects and present recommendations to senior leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Food Technology or a related field.
• 0–2 years of professional experience.
• Strong interest in commercial business, sales, marketing, customer engagement and agricultural commodity markets.
