Commission-Based Sales Agent (Insurance)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commission‑Based Sales Agent to join our insurance team in Mombasa. You will promote APA Insurance Limited’s range of general, health and life insurance products to individuals and businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and engage prospective clients through lead generation and follow‑up.
• Conduct client meetings, product demonstrations and prepare quotations.
• Support customers through the policy onboarding process and maintain relationships with existing policyholders.
• Handle basic inquiries, coordinate with underwriting and claims teams, and relay market feedback.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and keep accurate sales records.

Required profile

• Proven sales, customer service and relationship‑management experience.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities, able to explain insurance products clearly.
• Basic understanding of insurance concepts or a strong willingness to learn.
• Competence with standard office software and organized record‑keeping.
• Ability to work in a target‑driven environment, manage time effectively and handle multiple client engagements.
• Relevant qualification in Business, Marketing, Insurance, Finance or related field is an advantage.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability and a customer‑focused mindset.
