Computer Vision Annotator

About the role

The Computer Vision Annotator works remotely to create high‑quality labeled datasets that power computer‑vision and machine‑learning models. You will use specialized annotation tools to mark objects, key points, and 3D structures in images, video, and point‑cloud data.

Key responsibilities

• Draw precise bounding boxes, polygons, polylines, and 3D cuboids around objects of interest.
• Place key points for pose estimation and create segmentation masks for pixel‑level labeling.
• Annotate point‑cloud and LiDAR data to support autonomous‑vehicle and robotics projects.
• Interpret complex labeling taxonomies and collaborate with data scientists to refine guidelines.
• Provide feedback on annotation tools (CVAT, Label Studio, 3D Slicer, Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth) to improve workflow efficiency.
• Identify ambiguous cases, edge‑cases, and potential dataset biases, escalating findings to improve model robustness.
• Assist with basic data preparation tasks such as image resizing and format conversion.
• Track key performance metrics like throughput, precision, and recall.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data annotation or quality assurance for computer‑vision projects.
• Proven ability to maintain high accuracy and consistency across repetitive labeling tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CVAT, Label Studio, 3D Slicer, Supervisely, or Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth.
• Familiarity with computer‑vision concepts such as object detection, image classification, segmentation, and point‑cloud processing.
