Construction Project Coordinator

About the role

The Construction Project Coordinator will oversee the implementation of SOFDI’s School Kitchen Construction Project and Spring Protection Project in Kenya. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of construction projects, from planning and execution to monitoring, documentation and closure.
• Collaborate with architects, construction teams, school officials and government entities, providing feedback and acting as liaison.
• Prepare regular progress reports, document data and photos, and lead project meetings.
• Develop procurement plans, obtain quotations, manage budgets and ensure transparent financial transactions.
• Oversee site safety, regulatory compliance and quality control inspections.
• Design and deliver training programmes for local workers and apprentices, building capacity within the spring protection programme.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 5 years (60 months) of experience in construction project coordination.
• High integrity and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and reporting skills.
