Construction Project Manager

About the role

CCMS Consult is looking for a Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects in Eldoret, Kenya. This full‑time, on‑site position will oversee projects from concept through close‑out, ensuring they meet client expectations, timelines and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects from concept to close‑out.
• Prepare detailed client briefs and define project scope.
• Develop and implement project execution plans aligned with the RIBA Plan of Work.
• Monitor project progress to ensure delivery within agreed timelines, scope and budget.
• Identify and mitigate risks, escalating issues to management as needed.
• Chair project meetings with contractors and consultants, recording minutes.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of active projects and provide weekly and monthly reports.
• Liaise with development control authorities to obtain permits and licences.
• Plan and coordinate resources, including manpower, equipment and materials.
• Oversee contractor compliance with quality, environmental, health and safety standards.
• Network with local contractors, suppliers and consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, quantity surveying or civil engineering.
• Minimum 3 years post‑graduate experience in client‑side project management and reporting.
• Experience managing construction projects from concept to close‑out.
• Strong communication, reporting and presentation abilities.
• Interest in sustainable design and green buildings.
