Construction Site Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Site Manager to oversee daily execution of construction projects in Kilimani, Nairobi. The role ensures works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily site operations, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain daily site diaries, progress reports and short‑term look‑ahead programmes (1‑3 weeks).
• Verify completed works against drawings, measure quantities for valuation and track progress.
• Monitor site productivity, prepare meeting minutes and maintain action trackers.
• Ensure accurate setting‑out, conduct inspections and maintain QA/QC records.
• Coordinate material requisitions, monitor receipts and stock levels, and liaise with procurement.
• Schedule and supervise subcontractors, track attendance and performance.
• Lead daily toolbox talks, enforce safety culture and report incidents, hazards and near‑misses.
• Prepare weekly progress reports, early warnings on delays, and support valuations and subcontractor payment valuations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field (as stated in the posting).
• Proven experience in site management and construction project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Ability to coordinate resources, materials and subcontractor activities.
• Excellent record‑keeping and reporting skills.
