Consultant – Development of a Shared Services Framework

About the role

We are seeking an experienced consultant to design a shared services framework for the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank (TDB). The consultant will lead the creation of a model that standardises services across the TDB Group while allowing limited customisation for individual units.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current shared services practices within TDB and its subsidiaries.
• Benchmark against international best‑practice models and identify gaps.
• Develop a comprehensive shared services model, including governance structures and performance metrics.
• Produce a library of Service Level Agreement (SLA) templates and guidelines for ongoing management.
• Provide recommendations for implementation, scalability and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven consulting experience in designing shared services or centre‑of‑excellence models, preferably in the financial sector.
• Strong understanding of service governance, performance management and SLA development.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality documentation.
