Content & Digital Lead

About the role

The Digital & Content Lead will shape Youth+ Africa’s digital strategy, drive brand storytelling and grow audiences across the continent. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will create a vibrant digital ecosystem that connects communities, showcases impact and supports organisational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive digital and content strategy aligned with Youth+ Africa’s mission.
• Produce high‑quality content for video, social media, blogs, email newsletters, website and other multimedia channels.
• Maintain a consistent pan‑African brand voice across all digital platforms.
• Manage and expand presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and emerging platforms.
• Design and launch campaigns that boost engagement, brand awareness and lead generation.
• Build and nurture online communities that encourage collaboration and advocacy.
• Monitor performance using analytics, generate reports and continuously optimise digital activities.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends, technologies and content formats.
• Collaborate with internal teams, partners and external creatives to deliver high‑impact digital experiences.
• Lead, mentor and develop the digital team, fostering creativity and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, content strategy, communications or brand management.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital content strategies.
• Strong copywriting, storytelling and editorial abilities.
• Passion for youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and building impactful digital communities.
