Corporate Alliances Specialist – Fixed Term (P-3)

About the role

The Corporate Alliances Specialist supports UNICEF’s Regional Services Division in Nairobi by developing and managing partnerships with the private sector across Africa. The role focuses on securing both financial and non‑financial contributions, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s strategic objectives and safeguarding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and finalize financial and non‑financial partnerships, including those involving corporate social responsibility, advocacy, and other non‑monetary elements.
• Conduct due‑diligence, pitch development, and negotiations, especially with sensitive industries such as extractives.
• Provide account management to grow existing partnerships and achieve measurable results.
• Support COs and the regional office in implementing UNICEF’s business‑engagement strategy, delivering technical guidance, training, and best‑practice documentation.
• Plan, implement, and monitor private‑sector regional strategies and action plans to advance programmatic outcomes.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, Development, Business, CSR, Public Administration or related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in sustainability, human rights or children’s rights.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of another UN language or a local language is an asset.
• Experience establishing and stewarding private‑sector partnerships in Africa, preferably at country level in development or humanitarian contexts.
