Credit Controller - Hindi/Gujarati Speaking

About the role

The Credit Controller will manage credit policies, accounts receivable and debt collection for a healthcare‑focused company in Nairobi. Fluency in Hindi or Gujarati is essential for communicating with suppliers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assess customer creditworthiness, set and review credit limits, and monitor payment histories.
• Oversee accounts receivable, track aging reports, approve orders within policy and release them upon payment.
• Negotiate payment plans, recover overdue accounts and escalate complex cases.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve credit policies and control processes.
• Prepare regular reports on receivables, cash flow, debt and key performance indicators.
• Onboard new customers, establish credit terms and resolve billing issues while maintaining strong relationships.
• Identify credit risks, apply mitigation strategies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Train internal teams, supervise credit staff and collaborate with sales, legal and finance departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Fluent in Gujarati, Hindi, Swahili and English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in credit control or debt management, preferably within healthcare or medical equipment sales.
• Professional certification in Credit Management is an advantage.
