About the role
The Crop Science and Remote Sensing Specialist will support cutting‑edge agricultural research by linking field experiments, physiological measurements, and satellite‑derived data. This position is based in Nairobi and works closely with multi‑disciplinary teams across locations.
Key responsibilities
- Integrate field trial data with physiological measurements and remote sensing observations.
- Analyze multi‑location experimental results using quantitative methods.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and international partners to support CGIAR and donor‑funded programs.
Required profile
- MSc in Agronomy, Crop Physiology or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in applied agricultural research.
- Proven ability to work on multi‑disciplinary, multi‑location projects.
Required skills
- Proficiency in R and Python for data analysis.
- Experience with GIS platforms such as ArcMap.
- Knowledge of Google Earth Engine for remote sensing processing.
