Data Analyst

About the role

As a Data Analyst at Syngenta Group, you will turn complex data into actionable insights that support decision‑making across production, research and external partnerships. You will work closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure data quality, develop analytical solutions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, Power BI and data‑cleaning methods to meet analytical needs.
• Analyse business context and data flows throughout the production process, including interactions with R&D teams.
• Provide timely analytical support on ad‑hoc issues, delivering insights that drive decisions.
• Prepare, compile and present comprehensive update reports for management with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Participate in organisational initiatives and process‑optimisation projects, promoting a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Validate and document data sources to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Train end‑users on data tools, dashboards and analytical outputs.
• Adhere to phytosanitary, hygiene, HSE policies and any additional tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining integrity and intellectual honesty.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
