Data Analyst – Sales & Commercial Insights

About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst that will turn business data into clear, actionable insights that support sales growth, distribution, marketing effectiveness and better decision‑making. The ideal candidate understands the FMCG environment, including sales performance, distribution, retail execution, SKU performance, pricing, promotions, market trends and consumer behaviour and can translate numbers into practical recommendations for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Track and analyse sales performance by region, territory, distributor, outlet, SKU and channel.
• Identify sales trends, growth opportunities and underperforming areas.
• Analyse distributor performance and effectiveness, and track product availability, distribution coverage and outlet penetration.
• Identify gaps in distribution and areas with potential for expansion across retail environments such as kiosks, dukas and supermarkets.
• Monitor performance of BB Bread SKUs, identify fast‑ and slow‑moving products and analyse SKU performance by geography, channel and outlet type.
• Develop and maintain regular sales and commercial performance dashboards, produce weekly and monthly reports and automate recurring reports where possible.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics or Statistics.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with experience handling large datasets.
• Ability to interpret data, produce detailed reports and create dashboards.
• Strong understanding of business KPIs.
