Data Solutions Lead

About the role

Isuzu is hiring a Data Solutions Lead for a full-time, on-site position in Nairobi. The role leads the design and delivery of integrated enterprise data solutions, ensuring trusted, consistent and actionable data across legacy systems, digital platforms and emerging technologies. It covers data architecture, integration, governance, platforms and business intelligence to improve operational efficiency, decision making, advanced analytics and AI readiness. The position reports to the Information Technology (IT) Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Define enterprise data architecture, standards and roadmaps aligned with business strategy and aimed at eliminating silos.
• Integrate business systems and implement the enterprise data lake to remove fragmentation and duplication.
• Design scalable, secure and cost-effective enterprise data platforms for reliable reporting and analytics.
• Establish data governance, ownership and lifecycle standards covering quality, security, privacy and compliance.
• Deliver business intelligence, data and analytics solutions that improve decision making, revenue, customer experience and efficiency.
• Build secure, reliable data foundations for AI and advanced analytics.
• Provide technical leadership and solution governance by enforcing architecture and technical standards, promoting reuse and preventing duplication.
• Manage stakeholders and vendors by partnering with teams, directing vendors, transferring knowledge and communicating technical decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• KCSE mean grade B+.
• Five years in IT, including at least three years specializing in enterprise data solutions architecture and major data lake implementations.
• Relevant professional certification in data engineering, cloud computing, database management or data management.
• Membership in a recognized professional body is an added advantage.
