DC Power Telecom Technician – Level II

About the role

The DC Power Telecom Technician – Level II supports the installation, modification, and maintenance of DC power and telecommunications equipment across Central Office, Data Center, Substation, and Outside Plant sites. Working under senior technicians, you will perform tasks safely and accurately while gaining deeper expertise in telecom power systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with installation, testing, and turn‑up of DC power and telecom equipment.
• Perform additions and removals of battery strings under supervision.
• Support modifications on working equipment and circuits, including adding/removing circuits on DC distribution gear.
• Install auxiliary framing, relay racks, and related infrastructure.
• Read and follow job drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Follow SMOPs and DMOPs during maintenance and cutover activities.
• Complete job logs, work reports, and required documentation accurately.
• Assist with DC audits, preventive maintenance, and basic inspections of standby batteries.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in DC power, telecommunications, or related technical installation work.
• Basic understanding of DC power systems, batteries, and power distribution equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow written procedures.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians.
