Debt Collections Officer

About the role

Purple Royal Auctioneers is looking for a proactive Debt Collections Officer to manage the recovery of overdue loan balances. The role combines field visits, client negotiations, and the use of specialised collection software to ensure timely repayments while maintaining professional relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field visits to collect overdue payments from borrowers.
• Manage debt collection processes for various bank loan products.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM and Smartcollect systems.
• Negotiate repayment plans and resolve disputes with clients.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular reports on collection performance and outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as credit control and finance to address issues.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in any field.
• 1–3 years of experience in debt collection, credit control, or bank loan products.
• Professional demeanor with strong negotiation and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience conducting field collections.
