Demand Planning Lead

About the role

The Demand Planning Lead will own the end‑to‑end demand forecasting process for MKOPA SOLAR, turning market trends, historical sales data and business drivers into accurate short‑ and long‑term forecasts. This role works closely with commercial, finance, supply‑chain and senior management to ensure inventory is optimised and product availability meets customer demand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve demand forecast models using historical data, sales trends, market insights and business assumptions.
• Lead the monthly demand planning cycle, including forecast reviews, exception‑based planning and SKU‑level forecast submissions.
• Establish and monitor forecast accuracy metrics, analyse variances and communicate corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Identify demand risks, supply constraints and opportunities to optimise safety stock and inventory levels.
• Facilitate regular forecast review meetings with commercial, finance, supply‑chain and management teams to align demand plans with business priorities.

Required profile

• A recognised degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.
• Proven experience leading demand planning or forecasting processes, preferably in a fast‑growing consumer‑goods or energy‑services environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to convey forecast assumptions and recommendations to cross‑functional teams.
