Demand Planning Officer – Logistics

About the role

We are looking for a Demand Planning Officer to join our Warehouse and Logistics group as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets. The role supports demand planning, inventory replenishment, purchase order coordination, supplier follow‑up and stock availability to ensure timely supply of materials and components for business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage and track purchase orders for materials and components required for production, projects and supply‑chain operations.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, resolve order discrepancies and maintain effective relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment actions to reduce stockouts and excess inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, deliveries, order changes and supplier communications.
• Identify and analyse sales trends, demand patterns and other planning variables to improve forecasting and safety‑stock processes.

Required profile

• A recognised degree in Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning, procurement coordination or supply‑chain operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of integrated supply‑chain system data maintenance.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret sales trends, stock data and planning variables.
