Deputy Director – ICT Services

About the role

The Deputy Director, ICT Services leads the university’s IT infrastructure, software operations and cybersecurity, driving digital transformation across all academic and administrative functions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinating development, implementation and review of ICT policies, strategies, regulations, standards and procedures.
• Advising senior management on ICT governance structures and digital transformation initiatives.
• Overseeing service providers and the design, implementation and maintenance of the university’s ICT infrastructure.
• Leading the design and implementation of security systems to protect data, information and ICT assets.
• Managing the development, maintenance and disaster‑recovery strategy for all ICT services.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
• At least 12 years of cumulative ICT experience, including 5 years as a Systems Administrator or senior equivalent in a university or comparable organization.
• Membership of a recognized professional body and certified training in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.
• Demonstrated leadership, performance results and ability to mentor and coach ICT staff.
