About the role

The Deputy Principal (Band B-2) will provide strategic leadership with a strong curriculum focus at Thiele Primary School. This fixed‑term role supports the Principal in driving educational excellence and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead curriculum planning, implementation and evaluation across all year levels.
• Support the Principal in managing school operations, staff performance and student outcomes.
• Mentor and develop teaching staff, promoting best practices and professional growth.
• Oversee assessment strategies and ensure alignment with state educational standards.
• Engage with parents, community partners and the South Valley Local Partnership to enhance school programmes.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification and current registration.
• Extensive experience in primary education leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead curriculum development and improvement.
