Development & Innovation Officer

About the role

The Development & Innovation Officer will drive automation, software development and emerging‑technology initiatives across our manufacturing operations. Reporting to senior management, you will lead cross‑functional projects that improve efficiency, reduce costs and embed digital solutions into the production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement automation opportunities in manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance and administrative processes.
• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain custom software applications, scripts and system integrations.
• Lead pilots and proof‑of‑concepts for AI, IoT, robotics, RPA and data‑analytics solutions.
• Support integration of PLC, SCADA and other industrial control systems with new digital tools.
• Manage technology‑focused projects from concept through rollout, including planning, budgeting and risk monitoring.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma or Agile methodologies to measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, finance and supply‑chain teams to ensure solutions align with business needs.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 48 months (4 years) of experience in manufacturing technology or process automation.
• Proven ability to deliver software solutions and integrate them with industrial equipment.
• Strong analytical mindset and experience managing cross‑functional innovation projects.
