Digitalization Intern – Support Digital Solutions

About the role

The Digitalization Intern will assist GIZ Kenya/Somalia Country Office in implementing digital solutions that improve data management and operational efficiency. This role offers practical experience in digital transformation initiatives within a development context.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of digitalization projects and adoption of digital tools.
• Document digital processes, workflows, and user guides.
• Maintain and update the business partner database, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Generate basic reports and summaries from available data sources.
• Provide administrative assistance such as scheduling meetings and preparing documentation.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting on digitalization activities.
• Participate in learning activities, briefings, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required profile

• University Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Records Management or a related field.
• Graduated within the last twelve months.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).
