Direct Sales Agent

About the role

Jamii Telecommunications is hiring a full-time Direct Sales Agent based in Mombasa. The role centres on sourcing new business leads and service accounts, securing orders and keeping management informed on trade activities.

Key responsibilities

• Source new business leads and service accounts, and obtain orders for acquisition and fulfilment.
• Keep management informed on trade activities through reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory analysis.
• Monitor market trends by gathering intelligence on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques.
• Recommend new innovations in products and service delivery in line with market advances.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations.
• Maintain and manage sales records.
• Contribute to the team's results as needed.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a business-related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably sales, customer relations or merchandising.
• Highly motivated, proactive and target-driven.
• Customer and business focused attitude.
• Proactive in looking for clients and using the right tools to achieve results.
• Brand ownership is key.
