Direct Sales Representative - Kisii

About the role

SBM Bank (Kenya) Limited is seeking a motivated Direct Sales Representative to drive retail banking growth within the Kisii market. You will be responsible for prospecting new customers, promoting consumer banking products, and ensuring a smooth account‑opening experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect retail opportunities, visit potential customers and onboard them to the bank’s schemes.
• Sell and cross‑sell consumer banking products, generate quality leads and follow up to convert them into sales.
• Achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets for designated campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with account opening procedures and submit documentation for processing.
• Maintain relationships with key contacts, conduct courtesy calls, and attend service open days.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints and escalations within the defined turnaround time.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of sales experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and relationship‑building skills.
• Attention to detail and adherence to compliance and governance standards.
