Direct Support Professional – Otsego Region

About the role

Springbrook is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join its team in the Otsego Region. You will work directly with adults or children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them lead independent, fulfilling lives in community, residential, and educational settings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Support community integration by accompanying clients to shopping, recreation, and social events.
• Promote choice, independence, and safety while providing protective oversight.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with Springbrook policies and state regulations.
• Adapt to flexible schedules, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and mandatory overtime as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Springbrook vehicles.
• Willingness to be reassigned to other locations based on business needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
