Director, Acceptance Solutions Sales – East Africa

About the role

Visa is a global leader in payments technology, connecting consumers, merchants, financial institutions and governments in over 200 countries. The Director, Acceptance Solutions Sales for East Africa will lead prospect identification, strategic account planning and drive revenue for Visa’s Acceptance Solutions across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage new clients for Visa Acceptance Solutions, develop pipeline and strategic account plans.
• Drive upselling, cross‑selling and renewals within existing accounts and product families.
• Develop and execute partnership strategies with ISVs, technology platforms and acquirers across the region.
• Lead key programs such as the Acquirer Acceleration Program, coordinating with account executives, country managers and acquiring partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Product Development, Technical Sales Engineers, Account Management) to deliver solutions and meet revenue targets.
• Oversee reporting, analysis and communication of program performance, including pipeline tracking and partner metrics.
• Negotiate resources and improve processes to ensure delivery on commitments.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience (or 8+ with an advanced degree) and a Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
• Minimum 5 years in sales leadership with regional team management and multi‑market responsibility.
• Proven experience in the payments industry, client‑facing roles and managing ISV/technology partnerships.
• Track record of achieving quota for bookings and revenue, and deploying value‑based selling methodologies.
