Director – Banking Alliance Head

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Director – Banking Alliance Head to manage and expand strategic banking and funding partnerships, ensure a sustainable flow of capital for lending programs, and drive the loan book financing strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage strategic relationships with existing banking partners and Bank CXOs.
• Act as the single point of contact for senior/CXO-level stakeholders within partner banks.
• Build and strengthen long‑term relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
• Maintain a consistent flow of funds for ongoing lending programs.
• Develop the Loan Book Finance Capital Roadmap and investment strategy to support volume and revenue growth.
• Lead the end‑to‑end process of sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and executing fundraising transactions.
• Identify and onboard new banks and institutional funding partners.
• Lead commercial negotiations covering interest terms, revenue‑sharing structures, and other funding arrangements.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of transactional experience in Consumer Banking and/or Capital Markets.
• Strong experience in fundraising, debt financing, loan book financing, banking alliances, or institutional funding.
• Proven experience managing and influencing Bank CXOs and senior financial‑services stakeholders.
• Strong personal network within banks and financial‑services providers across Africa.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable operating in a multicultural and multi‑country environment and willing to travel as required.
