Director of Strategy

About the role

The Director of Strategy will shape and drive Burn’s corporate strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and growth targets. Reporting to the CEO, this senior leader will partner with the executive team to translate long‑term priorities into actionable plans.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, refinement and execution of the corporate strategy and annual business planning process.
• Define enterprise‑wide objectives, OKRs and performance metrics, monitoring progress against targets.
• Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, including geographic expansion, product diversification and new business models.
• Conduct market assessments, feasibility studies and build strategic business cases to support investment decisions.
• Develop and manage high‑impact strategic partnerships, joint ventures and acquisition opportunities.
• Oversee strategic finance modelling and investment analysis to inform major decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Strategy, Management or related field; MBA strongly preferred.
• 12–15 years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, corporate development or executive leadership.
• Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise‑level growth strategies in high‑growth or emerging‑market organisations.
• Experience working directly with C‑suite executives, boards, investors and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross‑functional strategic initiatives and transformation programmes.
