Director – The Ahadi Collective

About the role

The Director leads The Ahadi Collective, overseeing strategy, execution, and impact of community‑led conservation initiatives across East Africa. This senior position combines strategic leadership with hands‑on project oversight and fundraising.

Key responsibilities

• Set and drive the collective’s long‑term vision, strategy, and scaling trajectory.
• Oversee program implementation across landscapes such as the Loita initiative, ensuring partners meet workplans, budgets, and milestones.
• Mobilise and steward funding, co‑develop impact narratives and investment cases, and build relationships with donors.
• Lead a high‑performing team in Nairobi, maintain governance alignment, and report to LGT VP senior management.

Required profile

• Extensive conservation expertise in community‑led projects, natural resource management, or biodiversity protection.
• Deep understanding of East African ecological, socioeconomic and policy contexts with proven field experience.
• Private‑sector background managing complex, multi‑stakeholder field programmes, including budgeting and risk mitigation.
• Successful track record securing funding and building long‑term philanthropic or investment partnerships.

Required skills
