Disaster Risk Finance Consultant – Climate Resilience (Remote)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Disaster Risk Finance Consultant to support the Today and Tomorrow Initiative (TTI). The consultant will work remotely, collaborating with UNICEF’s Climate Resilience Global Practice Team, the Innovative Finance for Children team, and other stakeholders to advance climate‑action and disaster risk finance for children.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the TTI across headquarters, regional, and country offices.
• Meet donor reporting requirements and ensure accountability.
• Provide technical assistance and build capacity within country offices.
• Maintain and update TTI knowledge systems for easy access.
• Develop the evidence base and mobilise resources to scale the initiative.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in sustainability, climate science, international development, public administration or a related field focused on climate resilience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in programme management, donor engagement, and technical guidance on climate action, disaster risk reduction, sustainability, or innovative financing.
• Proven ability to design work plans, knowledge‑management strategies, and technical guidance materials.
• Experience facilitating multi‑stakeholder meetings, workshops, and capacity‑building activities.
• Fluency in English.
