Junior Field Service Technician – Solar Water Systems

About the role

GivePower is looking for a Junior Field Service Technician to support the operation and maintenance of its solar‑powered desalination systems, known as Solar Water Farms. Working under a Senior Field Service Technician, you will help ensure that water and energy systems run efficiently, safely, and meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair solar energy and water treatment equipment.
• Perform maintenance on boreholes, injection wells, soak pits, and related plumbing.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of solar water systems.
• Monitor system performance, collect operational data, and report abnormalities.
• Maintain civil, mechanical, and electrical installations on site.
• Record maintenance activities accurately and ensure compliance with KEBS water‑quality standards.
• Handle tools, electrical components, and water‑treatment chemicals safely.
• Provide technical guidance and training to site‑level teams.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical, Water, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of technical maintenance or field‑service experience, preferably with solar or water‑treatment systems.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Physical capability to troubleshoot, dismantle, and rebuild equipment.
