Dispatch Officer

About the role

A client of Career Directions Limited is hiring a Dispatch Officer in Nairobi. The role coordinates dispatch operations so that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, while supporting sourcing and processing activities as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities so orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
• Monitor vehicle loading and confirm products are dispatched correctly, matching orders and company standards
• Prepare and verify dispatch documentation such as delivery notes and loading schedules
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and update the ERP system as required
• Support the sourcing team and assist with banana ripening and processing
• Liaise with warehouse personnel and other departments and comply with safety, quality and operational procedures

Required profile

• Diploma or degree from a recognized institution
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
• Good communication, planning and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Previous dispatch, warehouse or logistics experience is an added advantage

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Knowledge of an ERP system is an added advantage
