Dispatch Officer – Nairobi

About the role

The Dispatch Officer will coordinate daily dispatch operations, ensuring orders are accurately prepared and dispatched on time while maintaining proper documentation and system records. The role also supports sourcing, processing and warehouse activities as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities to meet order timelines and accuracy.
• Monitor vehicle loading and verify that loaded products match the respective orders.
• Ensure dispatched products meet quantity, quality and company standards.
• Prepare, verify and maintain dispatch documentation such as delivery notes and loading schedules.
• Update dispatch information accurately in the ERP system.
• Support the sourcing team with product sourcing and operational tasks.
• Assist with banana ripening and processing activities when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational procedures and promptly escalate any discrepancies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in any field from a recognized institution.
• 2–3 years of experience in dispatch, warehouse, logistics, supply chain or a related operational role.
• Good communication, planning, coordination and organizational abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Previous experience in fresh produce, FMCG, warehouse or agricultural supply chain operations is an advantage.
