District Engineer

About the role

The District Engineer is responsible for leading engineering activities within the district, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the district’s infrastructure objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of district infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Develop and manage engineering budgets and schedules.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff.
• Prepare reports, technical specifications, and documentation for district operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale engineering projects in a public or utility setting.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
