Drilling Operator

About the role

Join a leading oilfield services company as a Drilling Operator, working on the rig floor to support safe and efficient well construction. You will handle mechanical and hydraulic equipment, assist the drilling crew, and ensure continuous drilling operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate drilling and tubular‑handling equipment such as elevators, slips, spiders, and hydraulic/pneumatic devices.
• Assist with running and pulling casing, drill pipe, and tubing while maintaining alignment and connection integrity.
• Inspect tools and equipment before, during, and after drilling activities to ensure readiness and identify hazards.
• Communicate with the driller, rig floor operators, and supervisors to coordinate safe movement of tubulars and tools.
• Follow all safety requirements, attend rig safety meetings, and maintain awareness of rig‑floor hazards.
• Support general rig‑floor duties including rig‑up/rig‑down, basic equipment troubleshooting, and documentation.

Required profile

• General knowledge of the oil and gas industry, preferably with exposure to drilling or tubular‑handling operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in high‑pressure team environments.
• Technical degree (2‑year) or equivalent training combined with field experience.
• Prior industry experience with drilling, TRS, or rig operations and a commitment to safety compliance.
• Willingness to work variable schedules, including offshore, shift‑based, or on‑call assignments.
