Driver (CA11) – Fixed‑Term 2‑Year Contract – Nairobi

About the role

The Communications Authority of Kenya is seeking seven qualified drivers (grade CA11) on a two‑year fixed‑term contract, renewable once. The role involves safe, timely transportation of authorised passengers and diligent upkeep of the Authority’s vehicles across regional offices and headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Authority vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and road‑safety regulations.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure roadworthiness before and after each journey.
• Identify, report, and follow up on mechanical defects, accidents, and maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate vehicle records and custody of fuel cards, tools, and accessories.
• Coordinate service schedules, repairs, insurance inspections, and statutory compliance.
• Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and fuel‑efficient.
• Report incidents, traffic offences, and breakdowns promptly to the Fleet office.
• Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and customer‑service standards when interacting with staff, board members, and visitors.

Required profile

• Valid Kenyan driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• At least one month of professional driving experience.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Fleet Manager.
• Commitment to a two‑year fixed‑term contract, renewable once.
