Driver - Fresh Produce Delivery

About the role

Career Directions Limited (CDL) is looking for a reliable, responsible and safety-conscious driver to join its team. The driver ensures the safe and timely transportation and delivery of fresh farm produce, handles the products properly, maintains the assigned vehicle, supports delivery operations and completes the required documentation and reports.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the freshness and quality of produce during transport by following company handling protocols, and carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections so goods are securely loaded and undamaged.
• Regularly inspect the truck, keep it clean, and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain fuel records, report unusual fuel consumption or discrepancies, and accurately record fuel consumption and mileage.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service during deliveries and report customer concerns about delivery or produce quality.
• Assist in offloading products at delivery points, handling them carefully to avoid bruising or damage.

Required profile

• KSCE certificate or equivalent qualification (minimum educational requirement).
• Valid Kenyan driving licence.
• At least 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in delivery, FMCG, fresh produce or distribution in Nairobi.
• Reliable, punctual, responsible and safety-conscious.

Required skills

• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and routine safety checks.
• Ability to handle fresh produce carefully during loading, transport and offloading.
